Schedule for the 2012 High Tea & Sarsaparilla Weekend
Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Monday Club
- 7 pm - Doors open
- 8-11 pm Contra Dance with Adina Gordon
- 11 pm Potluck Afterparty - bring instruments and a snack to share
Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Monday Club
- 9:30 am Doors Open
- 10 am-12 pm English workshop with Adina Gordon
- 12-2 pm Lunch on your own
- 2-4 pm English workshop with Adina Gordon
- 4-8 pm Nap, dinner on your own, dress
- 7 pm Doors open
- 8-11 pm High Tea & Whiskey Ball (English Country Dance - dressy attire) with Adina Gordon
- 11 pm Potluck Afterparty - bring instruments and a snack to share
If you like to come in period attire (as many of us do) we are suggesting Regency dress, or any period of your choosing that does not require hoop skirts or the wearing of swords. The hall is a wee bit small to accommodate large skirts or weaponry.
If you prefer to come in modern dress (as many of us do) we merely suggest that you wear something nice and fun to dance in.

- 10 am Potluck Brunch
- 12 am - Flash Dance
- 2:30 pm - Calling Party Workshop at the Monday Club - free to weekend registrants, otherwise a donation of $10 is requested.
7-10 pm Childgrove Country Dancers hold their regular Sunday contra dance at the Monday Club. The fee for entrance to this dance is $7. (Monday, September 3, is Labor Day. There are fabulous things to do in St Louis over Labor Day. We suggest the Botanical Gardens. Or the Zoo. Or the History Museum. )
